About Me

As a real estate salesperson representing Douglas Elliman on the South Shore of Long Island and Miami, FL, Barbi Rogonia brings a vast array of experience in serving individuals and families.  Her approach to real estate comes not from just that of a salesperson, but of someone who, because of her background, genuinely cares about the people she serves.  She approaches each customer with a desire to understand their needs in order to help them in a decision making process that will have a significant impact on their future happiness and well-being.   Buying a home is one of the biggest financial commitments a family makes.  It is normal to harbor fears when making the decision to buy a home.  Barbi’s training and experience as a Register Nurse has provided her with outstanding skills in working with people facing important decisions about their future.  Her patient and friendly style create an atmosphere that makes clients comfortable in considering their alternatives and thinking through their decisions to purchase a home.

Combining her passion for helping clients find the right home and feel comfortable in the process with her previous business experience,  gives Barbi a unique combination of skills seldom found in real estate sales.   Nearly a decade with a private investment and consulting firm in healthcare has honed her business skills.  Her duties included research and due diligence on multimillion dollar investments.  This experience has left her well-equipped to perform research and obtain data necessary to provide a better understanding of the pros and cons of every transaction.   Her combined experiences have had a powerful impact on bringing together the buyers and sellers of homes in her local community.

Barbi and her family are active and dedicated members of the Merrick community.   She is active in working on various nonprofit causes and as a dedicated mother she volunteers in her daughter’s school and social activities.  She believes that every business, whether health care or real estate, should bring about positive change.  She brings that passion for making the community a better place to her job as your next licensed real estate agent.
